Web Design

I first learned about this weird markup language that powers the Internet back in 10th grade, and since then I've developed a certain love for working with websites! My passion is definitely web-programming (developing online applications), but designing sites has been fun, too. Here's some of what I've worked on:

I've also done a lot of work with PHP and databases. Past projects have included:

  • Creating a Technology Request ticket submission and tracking system for Minnehaha Academy
  • Writing an automatic form creator that takes a text file and produces a web-form (that does some rudimentary error checking and sends confirmation emails upon submission)
  • Integrating and implementing a LiveSearch search function on Minnehaha's site (Andrew Escobar's site revealed valuable clues on how to do this, as well; additionally, I created several special helper tools to assist in tagging the pages on the site and stuffing that info into the search database)
  • Creating a shopping cart for Reflections by Wendy
  • Writing several handy image-gallery-maker functions for Reflections (I used these again when creating Minnehaha's news pages)
